Tech Together Ke Ao Nei at Blanche Pope Elementary

Tech Together Ke Ao Nei recently concluded two science classes at Blanche Pope Elementary in Waimanalo. 34 sixth grade students studied how energy is generated, how it is used, and how it can be conserved in our society. Daily experiments and hands-on projects reinforced concepts in non-renewable and renewable energy. Each student built their own rubberband airplane, kamani nut necklace, solar oven, and solar car. The class concluded with a chance for students to explore careers in science and technology, and an 'ohana event where students could teach their familes the concepts learned during class.
