Ka Pa‘alana - (Mon) December 12, 2011
On Wednesday, December
07, 2011, Lensia Glover, a senior at Hālau Kū Māna Charter School, dropped off
7 huge boxes of clothing from a clothing drive she organized especially for the
homeless keiki and families of the Ka Pa‘alana Traveling Preschool and Homeless
Education Program.
Lensia contacted Ka
Pa‘alana in August and has been working steadily to design her donation drive
project. She has gone above and beyond
with this project as she is doing not one, but four donation drives for the
preschool. In November, she collected
clothing of all sizes. In December, she
is focusing her efforts on gathering canned food and toys. In the new year, she will be collecting
school supplies and books for the first month and baby items for the second
month.
Ka Pa‘alana would like to thank Lensia and her family for their support and dedication of gathering the much needed items for our struggling keiki and families.
