Grad Student Mentor

Program: Ho‘oma‘ema‘ewai
Reports to: Environmental Science Coordinator

Primary Responsibility:
Responsible for participating in the implementation and design of curriculum lessons and projects. This person will be focusing on the area of the Ala Wai Watershed.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Implement the math and science curriculum and evaluation.
  • Mentor students.
  • Attend school meetings and project meetings.
  • Conduct site research.
  • Mental and physical demands include hiking, swimming, and outdoor activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Masters Degree program in the field of Science, Math, Hawaiian Culture, or Education.
  • Familiar with Hawaiian Culture, and educational evaluation methodology and statistical analysis.
