INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR POSITION

Home Assessor

Program: Hui Ho‘omalu
Location: East Hawaii, West Hawaii, Maui, Kauai, Molokai, and Lanai

Primary Responsibility:
The Home Assessor, as an independent subcontractor, will interview all family members of the prospective foster family; educate, counsel, motivate, and ensure that they comply with all non-negotiable requirements. The Home Assessor integrates all information into a comprehensive written home study, actively participates and fosters collaborative relationships impacting the recruitment, assessment, and ongoing support and retention phases of the licensing process. Paid on a Fee-for-Service basis.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work and licensed in the State of Hawaii plus over two (2) years experience in foster care/adoptions, the Child Welfare System, or the provision of direct services to families and children in human services.
• Experience also includes certification in providing PRIDE training and in-home study assessments as well as knowledge of CWS policies and procedures.
