Site Manager-Adult Teacher
Program: Na Pono No Na ‘Ohana
Reports to: Co-Directors of program
Primary Responsibility:
Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Na Pono No Na ‘Ohana program.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supervises site staff and ensures that program activities correspond with project proposal.
- Coordinates a community learning site.
- Conducts daily briefs and debriefs with all staff.
- Coordinates and provides input into the planning of curriculum and educational field trips.
- Prepares reports for Co-directors.
- Coordinates site recruitment efforts.
- Acts as liaison between community school and program.
- Identifies local resources and services for families.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management or related fields and at least two years experience working in communities that focus on families.
- Experience working with Native Hawaiian families.
- Management/Supervision experience.
- Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with our without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
- Must have an understanding of the Hawaiian Culture.
