Lead Teacher

Department: Tūtū and Me (Kona)
Reports to: Site Manager

Primary Responsibility:
The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing the Tutu and Me curriculum for caregivers and keiki.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and implementing program curriculum for caregivers and keiki.
  • Responsible for overseeing teaching assistants and for all reports as required by management.
  • Assure that a quality program is being delivered by working with the assessment specialist to ensure that the needs of caregivers and keiki are met.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Three to five years of experience in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience working with a diversity of cultural backgrounds.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with people.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. on a daily basis.
  • Free of any criminal or traffic convictions.
