Assessment Specialist

Department:Tūtū and Me (South Hawaii)
Reports to: Site Manager

Primary Responsibility:
Responsible for assessing, monitoring, documenting, and reporting the needs and progress of program participants, and for providing education, resources, and support to caregivers to promote optimal early learning experiences for young children.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Administers assessment instruments for caregivers and keiki.
  • Observes documents and tracks the development and growth of Tutu and Me program participants.
  • Works with a teacher to communicate and identify needs of participants and goals.
  • Identifies participants with special needs and works closely with the family in recommending community services/agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Three to five years experience in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience in early childhood assessment.
  • Free of any criminal or traffic convictions.
