AVID Program

Ka Hana No‘eau supports an active Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program at each of the school partner sites. AVID focuses on building students' skill sets and confidence in writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading through a broad range of research-based strategies. Partner schools implement AVID strategies school-wide and with the support of Ka Hana No‘eau offer AVID elective programs in grades 6-12. AVID elective students can apply to be a part of their grade cohort and can be assured of individualized assistance to reach their college and career aspirations
