 Hula

Kaui as she is affectionately called by her haumana is the AlaKa`i for Hula O Ka Hana No`eau no Kalaniumi, holding weekly classes in hula instructions for 4 age groups ranging from age 3 to 55 yrs old.  Her love of the Hawaiian art of Hula is for everyone, none being too young or too old to share her passion.
Kaui has been mentoring for the past 4 years at the Kohala Intergeneration Center under the Ka Hana No`eau program.  Her past studies of the Hula art began as a child under the direction of Kumu Patricia Kalaniumi Roxburgh, her mother in North Kohala of the Hula Halau Ka Noeau.  Kumu Roxburgh tutored under the direction of Kumu Michael Pang of the Big Island.
Her Halau has performed at numerous community events, and annually at the Kamehameha Day celebration in North Kohala.  Most recently, she was able to travel to Oahu and participate in the Hula Workshop with her students held at the Honolulu Convention Center.
