National Adoption Day in Hawaii

November 17th was National Adoption Day, but here in Hawaii, it was extra special when 18 foster children were adopted into permanent families. Through the collaborative efforts of Kokua ‘Ohana and other foster care agencies, DHS, Family Court, and private businesses and individuals, Hawaii celebrated adoptive children and families at the Family Courthouse with music, games, goodie bags, food and fun for everyone in attendance. A special mahalo to SuperGeeks who generously sponsored hot dogs and chips through a partnership with Kokua ‘Ohana. Kokua ‘Ohana families and staff were on hand to be a part of this very special event.
