Nakoa Prejean

Cultural Specialist

Nakoa has been building and sailing canoes for over 20 years. He has worked with at risk youth and college level students, teaching canoe sailing and canoe building. He continues to teach canoe building as a way of teaching math and science to his students. Also incorporated within these classes is the teaching and practicing of timeless Hawaiian values to perpetuate the Hawaiian culture.
