May 20, 2008 – Forty-six Waianae Elementary sixth grade students from classes F11 and F12 were inspired while conducting 10 modules of hand-on science and engineering experiments with Tech Together Team #2 (Natalie Oana-Russo, Melanie Ramsey and Chad Durkin). They designed circuits, built motors and witnessed the theory of electromagnetism. On May 15th, parents and families of the Waianae community came together at the school library for the showcase of student projects and science activities. Parents and siblings worked together with students to complete a flashing LED flower project and construct a mini racing solar car. As seen in the pictures, parents also had fun experimenting with the science projects and demonstrations.
