Families from Tūtū and Me Papakōlea and Pauoa site visited Kalihi Kai and Liliha fire station for community helper month. The aim for the visit is to raise awareness about fire safety and the importance of community helpers. While at the station the firefighters gave them a tour of the fire station and the families learned about the different fire trucks. The firefighters demonstrated repelling off a building and let each keiki have a chance to use the fire hose. The firefighters also handed out Honolulu Fire Department fire hats, tattoos, pencils and bracelets.
